Directions: Walk east down Pratt St. and turn left to go north on Light St. The Comedy Factory (and Burke's Cafe) is located on the corner at the intersection of Light and Lombard Streets.
Bottom Line: Featuring stand-up comics in Friday and Saturday night shows (also on some Thursday nights) at 8:30pm and 10:30pm. Contact them for tickets and check online for their comedian lineups.
Hippodrome Theater

Directions: Walk north on Eutaw St. The Hippodrome will be on the left between Baltimore and Fayette Streets.
Bottom Line: Newly renovated and having reopened in February 2004, the Hippodrome has had an impressive list of Broadway musicals come to its stage, from Phantom of the Opera to the Producers and Les Miserables. While great for a first date, you won't find these tickets easy on your wallet.

Directions: Drive north on Howard St., and after passing 29th St., bear right at the fork onto Art Museum Drive.
Bottom Line: The museum features an extraordinary permanent collection and ever-changing exhibitions, plus programs and performances for all ages. If you want to get in free, admission is waived the first Thursday of each month (and hours are extended for this day).

Directions: Take Charles Street past the Washington Monument. Turn left onto Preston St. and go 2 blocks to Cathedral St. The Meyerhoff is on the left at the corner of Cathedral and Preston. Turn right on Cathedral Street to enter the Cathedral Street garage. Alternatively, take the light rail up to the Symphony Center stop.
Bottom Line: Baltimore's nationally renowned orchestra, led by Maestro Yuri Temirkanov, plays in the Meyerhoff Symphony Center north of campus. Students may be able to get rush tickets for $10 with student ID after noon on the day of a performance if tickets are unsold. Call the ticket office the Monday prior to performance day for rush availability. Check the website for other student specials, including $10 tickets for a concert and post-concert reception on designated college nights!

Bottom Line: Voted Best Theater of 2002 by the Baltimore City Paper
the Everyman Theater performs both classic and contemporary dramas in an intimate setting. Seating 150-180, no seat is more than 25 feet from the stage.
Peabody Conservatory

Directions:Go north on Charles Street up to the Washington Monument. The Peabody Conservatory is bounded by Charles St., St. Paul St., Mount Vernon Place, and Centre St. The Peabody Garage is on St. Paul St.
Bottom Line: Affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, the Peabody Conservatory is nationally renowned for its music program. Check the website to find information on recitals, opera, orchestra, classical, and contemporary music.
